Quick text messages are saved unless you delete them. Bonanza appear as do the new "Roundtable discussion" questions. History of recently viewed items are also available.

The Switchboard can be turned off and on. As well as configured to suit the Bonanzle users needs.

To access the Switchboard editing utility. Go to "My Bonanzle > Account Settings > Other Options"

Click "Edit Switchboard Settings" and you are directed to the configuration page where you can make changes to your hearts content.  How simple is that!

If you decide the Switchboard isn't for you, just click the Orange Bonanzle logo on the far left side of the switchboard and turn it off. You can turn it back on anytime by going to your Account settings.

Traffic is increasing daily to the site, taxing the previous server setup. So ever on top of the situation, Bill is re-doing, re-configuring and testing so the servers can handle the load without choking up.  Good thing Bill knows how to do computer Heimlich !

But Wow,, everything is on one page. Talk about easier.  You know how at the Bay there are umpteen pages to go through just to list a single item. The new Editor provides much better control over the look and feel of the description. Complete with different Font faces and sizes.

Launched yesterday, Jan 19, 2010, sellers can opt in or out by going to "My Bonanzle > Account settings > Other Options. And click yes or no to "Show experimental features".  Easy peasy..

The text now is in full view without needing to click the "Full size editor" button on the left side.

The new editor also allows for 6 images rather than 4.

And last but not least is the lower portion which provides the seller with the full category tier rather than just the last tier. You know how you selected the category and then could not remember what in the world you had selected. Now you can see the full category tier.

So take a minute and check out the new Text editor.  Try it, you will like it...

The new policy is as follows: (copied directly for Bill's post)

After months of subjectivity and ambiguity about what forum behavior constitutes grounds for forum suspensions, we’ve decided to institute a new, more straightforward set of guidelines for forum usage. Here’s the scoop:

Since instituting “disemvoweling” about a year ago, we’ve found it to be a very handy tool to single out one or two posts in a thread that do not abide by the forum policies. However, there have been some problems with disemvoweling, including:

• Poster might not know they got disemvoweled (they receive no notice)
• Poster receives no explanation as to why they were disemvoweled
• Posters who are disemvoweled repeatedly can make life unpleasant for those who want to use the forums constructively

Changes that are now online address all three of these issues through the following updates:

• When a user gets a post disemvoweled, they will now be sent a notification about what they posted, and why specifically it was disemvoweled, via email.
• This email will contain links to the forum policies to help the user review and understand our forum policies in case they weren’t previously familiar with them
• If the user continues to write posts that violate forum policies, their forum posting privileges will be suspended. The first two violations will receive warnings, the third will result in a 24 hour suspension. The fourth a one week suspension, and the fifth (or more) a one month suspension. The count of disemvoweled posts will reset every three months, so theoretically you could still get disemvoweled 8 times per year without consequence, if you played your cards just right (please don’t ).

If you do happen to reach the threshold to have forum posting privileges removed, you will still be able to send Bonanzle mail, manage your booth, and etc., unless you start using those channels to continue to abuse others or generally act in ways unbecoming a good Bonanzle citizen.

It’s our hope that this update will serve to make it clearer what behavior is kosher in the forums, and what the consequences of violations will be.

In general, we have been extremely impressed at what a positive force the Bonanzle forums have been, even as we’ve grown to more than 1.5 million people per month visiting Bonanzle. When you reflect on it, I think it stands as a pretty amazing accomplishment that the fraction of those 1.5 million people that visit the forums can commiserate and engage in fun & productive conversations across 99% of the messages posted on Bonanzle. Pats on the back all around, and let’s keep these forums one of the most hospitable places to be amongst all marketplaces!

The new policy will provide any disemvoweled posters with the information they need, "what did I do wrong" 

The list of changes is quite long.  Bill has started a blog about the changes.  So be sure to take a minute and read about all the neat new features, functions and details.

Hint from Bill, Be sure to complete the all new "Shipping policy" and "Return Policy" provided in the "More Details" section of your booth.  There are now links to those two sections in the left navigation. 

Completing the new "Shipping and Return policy" section of your Booth details is the perfect spot for all that information you need to relay to your buyers.  It is the One stop location for policy. Only one place to edit when your policies change rather than editing all your listings.

How about that!

Bonanzle added another feature today that Bonanzle sellers have been asking for. The ability for the seller to view what the listing looks like to the buyer in the Item form page.

The link is located in the lower left hand corner of the simple one page "Add Item for Sale" form.

Be sure to have your pop-blocker set to allow all popups from Bonanzle as the page opens up in a new window as a popup.

Now you can view your listing prior to "Saving".

AND something that is totally cool. Leave the popup preview open, make changes to the text in the full size editor, Save the text editor changes, hit refresh on the popup preview and voila' the text changes appear for your approval!

 What should the next Bonanzle class cover? There are so many choices, so many new features, it is very hard to choose.

 So they have decided to let you decide! Bonanzle sellers get to decide what the next live Bonanzle Class will cover.

 Here is your chance to get what you need! So take a moment and use the comment section to tell them  what you want the next Bonanzle class to cover.

Although the Customized sort order is great and so is the "Seller's Pick sort, it has been a real challenge to arrange listings in a logical order after the customized search order is filled.

Now we have it. A secondary search order has been implemented. So arrange the booth items order of appearance to your hearts content.

The new option can by accessed by going to "My Bonanzle > Sell > Advanced Options > Customized Item sorting.  The screen shot below show you how it looks. The drop down provides you with the same choices as you have when sorting in Batch edit or simply searching a booth.
